The Mission and Vision of the Chorale

The Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale, Youth Chorale and Orchestra are a community of dedicated members who share a passion for the joyful and inspiring influence of music. Chorale members are committed to developing their artistic excellence as an ensemble and as individuals, by mastering increasingly demanding choral compositions and arrangements.

The intense personal commitment of each member is manifested in the high energy brought to all phases of participation: rehearsal schedules, fund-raising, administration, management, and artistic development. It is a commission that they undertake with reverence for the power of music; it is their contribution to a celebration of who we are, as a community and as human beings. They offer this experience to others by welcoming their participation without regard to age, color, gender, religious or political affiliation. It's about the music!

The Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale is poised for an exciting leap into the future, taking bold steps to balance artistic growth with a sustainable infrastructure. Funding efforts are aimed at attracting and retaining quality orchestral support and distinctive leadership, increasing learning opportunities for members, supporting educational outreach to young people, and maintaining a presence as a community resource for vocal training and performance.
